The Happy Hour Club on Vacation

My mom & dad have several groups of friends. Friends that they have had so long, I remember calling them by "Aunt or Uncle". Of course there are family friends - the Farthings, the Gessners, the Tchirs, the Rogalski's, etc. There are work friends - TD Bank & Potash Corp. The last I heard, the retirees from TD Bank will still get together for lunch or coffee.
And then there is the The Happy Hour Club. Most of them that make up this group have cabins at Wakaw Lake. Friday or Saturday around 4 o'clock means it's happy hour at someone's cabin. And now that most of them are retired, it could happen on any day of the week.

In all seriousness, my mom has great friendships. She has friendships that have lasted many, many years. This is important. It is easy to have friends come and go in and out of your life, but it takes a real friend to care, support and put the time into a friendship that can last over years.
