Many years back. Back when Rod and Jaime looked alike.
All grown up and closer than ever.

I have perceived my mother in several different ways. I remember as a child, she was my EVERYTHING. I don't remember the stories people tell about how I would not leave her sight or cry the second she tried to hand me off to someone else, but I remember the books before bed, the birthday parties she threw for me, all the dance competitions she attended. I won't go into my thoughts from when I was a teenager because let's be real here people - I was a teenager. I didn't like anyone but my friends and my boyfriend. As an adult I enjoy my mother the most. We couldn't ever relate in the past and that's ok, it's because we are such different people. At this point in my life, I need her the most. I need her for advice on crappy teachers. I need her for home remedies for Bella's ear ache. I need her to tell me how long to leave the chicken in the oven. I need her to listen when my husband is on the road and I've had a crappy day. It doesn't matter my age 5 or 35, she will always be my mom.
My mom put me in modelling when I was 14.
She was so proud of me.

My mom has always had a soft spot for my brother Rodney. She will tell you that's not true, but behind her back Rod and I laugh and both know that it is. She doesn't prefer him or give him anything more than I've ever been given but there is something special between a mother and a son. Rodney is just like my mother. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and cares for EVERYBODY. Between the two of them, we nourished quite a few stray animals back to health. Rodney has a love for the outdoors, this explains the life he lives in Kelowna, BC - lake life. Rodney likes to be in charge of himself. He doesn't like to be told when & how to do something. He prefers to finish on his own time. My mom couldn't have been more proud of him this past winter when he completed his mill wright certificate.
